BIO

Tere Harrison devises original one-woman shows with more than one woman in them. Harrison is a graduate of Naropa University’s MFA in Contemporary Performance. While there, she deconstructed Macbeth from Lady Macbeth’s point of view at three a.m. in her kitchen with a resonator guitar and a harmonica. While in Chicago, Tere was a member of Plasticene Theatre Company, where whe devised and performed numerous works with Dexter Bullard. Also a member of Dog Theater Company, she devised and performed with Leslie Buxbaum. Harrison is a poet fascinated with the intersection between spoken word and music. She performed Allen Ginsberg’s Howl as a duet with a stand-up bass player at the Austin Fringe Festival, then in Boulder with a pianist and a room full of typewriters.
