TECHNIQUES, APPROACHES, & METHODOLOGIES

Curiosity and preparation drive my approach to the work as an actor or writer. Beyond that, I borrow from great collaborators and learn and grow as I go.

BIO

Award-winning actor and playwright Susan has been on stage Off-Broadway and regionally. Her solo play (writer/performer) THE WONDER, directed by Julie Ann Emery and Kevin Earley, was awarded Best Production/Best of the Festival at the International United Solo Festival and was also nominated for the William Saroyan Human Rights/Social Justice Award. Web/Film: Onion News Network; award-nominated series regular on the award-winning web series THEN WE GOT HELP (directed by Julie Ann Emery). Her plays include BUZZ (directed by Carrie Preston; World Premiere, Alabama Shakespeare Festival; Winner, Hidden River Playwriting Award; Winner, Reverie Next Generation Playwriting Award); THE SILVER KITCHEN trilogy (which includes THE SILVER KITCHEN - directed by Carrie Preston, development, artist-in-residence, Actors Theatre of Louisville), THE FALL (directed by Julie Ann Emery, chosen for Pioneer Theatre’s Play-by-Play Series) and DISCO/REAGAN, among many. She is a member of AEA, SAG/AFTRA, DG, terraNova Groundbreakers, and Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive alumna; Rattlestick Theater’s Actors Who Write Lab, 2021-2022 Actors Studio Playwrights Division.
