This collaboration led to the development of three additional original plays based on interviews and research, including a commission to create a play, titled Hook-ups and Hangups: College Students Speak Out, about student culture on the campus of Denison University (www.givingvoiceproductions.com).
In May of 2013, Liz was commissioned to devise a play about Hydraulic Fracturing with BFA students at Naropa University. WT McRae (Theatrical Development Producer), creator of and performer in CTC’s Babel, is interested in creating work that features story, and explores the kinds of narrative arc that can be created by theater. He hopes to explore the role of an analog medium in a digital society and find the convergence point of the two. Ultimately WTs drive to produce is a product of his interest in being a part of human driven art.
Producing affords WT the opportunity to drive a creative process from start to finish. It's a different artistic role than stepping into someone else's vision. It makes space for all of his talents.
WT is most interested in the implementation of a creative process, the visual design and branding, and the development of aesthetics. Additional producing credits include Fool’s Academy Grammar Mysterious and Addressing History.
Rafa Reyes (Associate Producer) is constantly daydreaming and imagining new ideas of artistic projects that he would like to make a reality. He is happy to be part of the CTC family and grateful for everything that he has learned from everyone in the team since he joined. Since he was a kid he has liked to create his own works and to be involved in the making of events. He likes to design visuals, looks, storylines, narrative, choreography and logistics to create experiences that are fun, memorable and out of the box. When he was a student he led the production of several Spring proms, art exhibitions and fashion shows for his university. He started as a producing fellow with CTC in 2015, where he participated in the development of Project Unspeakable, BABEL, and created A Mexican Affair. He produced and costarred the short film Fiesta in August of 2015, and continues to create projects that celebrate music, dance, and his Mexican heritage.
